Healing Love has been nominated for the "Best Amish Fiction" book of 2012

Healing Love has been nominated for the “best Amish Fiction” book of 2012 for Christian Retailing’s “Best” Awards. Winners will be announced at the ICRS convention in June.
Nominees get exposure in Christian Retailing Magazine and will be scrutinized by retailers and other judges.  Until this year the award was called “Retailer’s Choice” but this year they’ve expanded the judging to include others.

I have no idea on the competition yet, but it will be available soon. Whitaker House had one nonfiction book win a few years back (My Time in Heavenby Richard Sigmund) and Tender Vow by Sharlene MacLaren received an Honorable Mention (3rd place) two years ago.

Janna sat there, silent, her hand engulfed in his, not daring to pull away, to break the spell of the moment. She’d waited so long for this man to notice her. She remembered whispering to Kristi about him, how cute he was, and how she wanted him to take her on buggy rides. Kristi consoled her when he left alone or with other girls, promising that someday he’d see her. And now, it seemed he had, in a huge way. But the timing was all wrong.

He was all wrong.

Maybe that’s why God had never answered her fervent teenage prayers that Hiram Troyer would court her. Love her
