  1. Christmas tradition always having s Navitity set displayed with the Bible opened to Luke 2. In fact, just did that this morning. Another family tradition was having Christmas breakfast with a small gift at each plate prior to opening presents from under the tree. Time for prayers and thanking God for sending His son, Jesus, to earth as that was our greatest gift ever. Blessings.

  4. One of my favorite memories is of a homemade dollhouse I received when a child (ca 1948). My mom made it out of a box that baby chicks came in, cut holes for windows, made curtains and rugs and bought several pieces of plastic furniture. Back then the oven and refrigerator doors really opened and dresser drawers pulled out!

  5. My favorite Christmas memory occurred when I was about 4 years old or so. My mom baked cookies and put a nice plate of them with a glass of milk for "Santa Claus" on my child's table. The next morning it was gone and Santa left me presents. The thoughtfulness and care of my mom is what I remember. Her kindness and effort to make a child happyt.

  15. My favorite Christmas memory is the last one with my mother. Little did we know that she wouldn't be around next year. She had Alzheimer's and though it has been almost 3 years I still miss her each and everyday.

  18. cjajsmommy AT gmail.com We did our first Birthday Cake for Jesus in 1978 for our ten-month-old firstborn. We've never missed a year, even when the kids were on their own and grandchildren weren't yet in our life. And I still use the same recipe -- my Grandma's War Cake (aka Wacky Cake) with vanilla buttercream icing. This will mark 37 years of this tradition.

  19. I have so many wonderful memories after 80 years. The first Christmas for each of my children was so precious. But, a very special Christmas memory was getting a beautiful baby girl on Christmas day in 1958. Can't beat getting a real life baby doll for Christmas. :) Would love to win your book. Thanks for a chance. GOD bless you. Maxie > mac262(at)me(dot)com <

  20. My favorite Christmas memory is from 2007. My father has passed away in September of that year. And, my mother was dying. My mother always loved the Christmas holidays...especially, Christmas carols.
(My mother was in a nursing home.)
There was an organ in the lounge where my mother are her meals. I decided to play hymns and Christmas carols for my mother. What a joy to see her smile! What a wonderful Christmas!
